It is a deliberately small practice. Erik has been licensed in Louisiana since 1991 and works alongside his son Rick, plus Sarah Tormey and Jeremy Hader, both of whom have been with the firm since law school. That continuity is the reason the same person can still answer a question about your case a year later.
All four took their law degrees at LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and each one’s Louisiana admission can be confirmed in the State Bar member directory. Erik has been a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, the state’s trial lawyers’ association, since 1991.

The crash report where one exists, the witnesses, the video before it loops over. Then every policy that might respond, including your own uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, which is where a surprising number of Louisiana claims are actually paid.
We document the injury properly
Consistent treatment, no missed appointments, and a doctor who will state in the record how the injury relates to the collision. A claim is proved on the medical record, so the record has to be right as it is being made.
You decide

Who will actually handle my case?
An attorney. The lawyers you see on this website and in the firm’s advertising are the people involved in the representation, and there are no legal assistants working your file in place of a lawyer. The attorney who meets you is the one who reads the records and speaks to the insurance adjuster.
What does a consultation cost?
Nothing. Free same-day consultations, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The consultation is one on one with at least one attorney.
What kinds of cases does the firm take?

The office is on O'Neal Lane, the first exit into the city from the east, and much of the work arrives from along the I-12 corridor toward Hammond and up the I-55 corridor, across East Baton Rouge, Livingston, Tangipahoa, Ascension, and West Baton Rouge parishes.
Does the firm take every case?
No. Where the at fault party has no insurance and no assets, a judgment can be uncollectable and pursuing it costs the client money to reach nothing. The firm would rather say so at the first meeting than two years later.
